This small restaurant is a top choice given its unfussy atmosphere and cultural novelty for those unfamiliar with China’s northwestern Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which occupies about one-sixth of the country. Those avoiding alcohol should be sure to get a glass of pomegranate juice, while Sinkiang black beer is recommended for everyone else. The friendly wait staff speak some English and are helpful to turn to if you still can’t decide on what to order, even after pouring over the English menu.
